Boatcare Trading Ltd has established its reputation as one of the top yachting companies on the Maltese islands through its years of operation. This was achieved through close attention of the client’s needs, always offering efficient and satisfactory services for each individual demand.

The operation started under the name Yachtcare in the early 1990s. What started as a relatively small operation providing services to yachts berthed in the newly opened Portomaso Marina, proudly set-up and run to the highest of standards, quickly grew under the leadership of its founders, David and Kenneth Azzopardi who are experienced boating and yachting enthusiasts themselves. The range of services grew to the comprehensive selection it is today, and the company's reputation quickly began to acquire customers beyond Portomaso Marina.

In 2006, recognizing the development that the company had undergone, it undertook a rebranding exercise and changed its name to Boatcare Trading Ltd. By early 2008, Boatcare recognized the need for a presence at the Ta’ Xbiex marina as well, opening a second outlet just meters away from the pontoons. In October 2013, Portomaso Marina thanks to its unique setup and attentive management of Boatcare Trading Limited had been awarded the highest TYHA 5 gold anchor rating, which establishes Portomaso as the first and only Maltese Marina with this award.

At Boatcare you find an experienced team of professionals who would exceed your expectations while keeping an honest and personal approach to your needs. They offer a full range of services the yachting community demands, from boat maintenance and guardianage, all the way to repairs on the water or on the hard, overhauls and refits, antifouling works, washing detailing and polishing, technical support, carpentry, upholstery works, fuelling, yacht agency services, and yacht deliveries. Boatcare is Malta’s representative for Douglas Marine’s mooring springs, Inmare yacht and marina equipment, M2M fenders, the Blue Navy / Italia Marine range of high quality boat cleaning products, and Dulon Marine care products.

Boatcare offers a yacht brokerage service to people buying or selling pre-owned (second hand) yachts, as well as new boats. Boatcare Trading has introduced in Malta brands such as Elan Powerboats and Hunter Yachts.

To complement the brokerage and new boat sales service, Boatcare also provides an efficient yacht charter service. Besides offering the best yacht charter opportunities to clients who just require a boat for a short period of time, we also prepare, equip and manage boats for charters to enable yacht owners to get a return on their investment.
