Stormforce 6.1 Open
The 6.1 has undergone many hours of testing in extreme conditions to develop the perfect RIB hull. Although it may be the smallest model in our range, the RIB is more than capable of tackling the biggest of seas with ease and determination. The Stormforce 6.1 is a well proven preformer giving a stable dry run even in the roughest of conditions.
Hullform
The Stormforce 6.1 is a deep V hull form, which is one of the reasons that this RIB has such fantastic abilities in rough offshore conditions. The deep V hull is combined with sprayrails to produce additional lift and improve the hydrodynamics of the hull. The tube is designed to sit firmly in contact with the water surface while at rest; this ensures that the RIB has maximum stability.
The Redbay 6.1 has been described as "one of the most sure-footed craft of it’s size I can remembering handling" (Hugo Montgomery Swan from RIB International.)
Layouts
The 6.1 can be powered by either single or twin outboards, or a single diesel sterndrive. The RIB can be fitted with either in-line console or a side by side console. Additional PODs can be added if necessary; the RIB is rated to carry up to 8 persons. The versatility and capabilities of this RIB make it suited for a wide range of applications for both commercial and leisure use, including:

Stormforce 750
Background
The 750 model is a moidernised version of the very successful Stormforce 7.4. It is available in 3 versions which include open cockpit, wraparound canopy and hard cabin. Apart from the hardnose it also has a far superior level of finish which includes a one piece mould from bow to stern
The new 750 also includes the provision for a double berth in the bow with proper access through the console. This has been achieved by the adaptation of the GRP hardnose featuring on our larger models, which provides total security in big seas.
Hullform

In addition to this the bow section has been enhanced to include a hardnose which protects the tubes in this very vulnerable front section.
Configuration
The 750 is available as an open cockpit, a canopy and a hard cabin RIB. It can be powered by outboards or diesel Sterndrives. Internally, there is flexibility as to the type of seating: POD, High Back Comfort Seats and Air Sprung Suspension options are all available.

The award winning Suzuki 40 and 50hp 4-stroke outboards deliver outstanding power, excellent fuel economy, low vibration and noise - whilst meeting the world's toughest emissions requirement CARB 2008.
These lightweight aluminium 815cc, 12 valve, double overhead camshaft motors with multi point sequential electronic fuel injection have been developed from Suzuki's high performance, durable automotive engines.
The 40/50 are fitted with an integral timing chain which is maintenance free and enables the size of the engine package to be reduced considerably. Other features include the latest direct ignition system with integral spark plug caps/ignition coils reducing the number of parts and simplifying wiring. An intake manifold which incorporates a high capacity surge tank reduces noise and emission output across the entire power range whilst a silencer on the throttle body reduces engine noise at top speed even further. |

Suzuki placed a high priority on ergonomics and ease of operation when designing these 4-strokes. The engines have a slim, clean appearance with no awkward protrusions on which to catch lines or clothing. The tiller and controls are centrally positioned with the emergency stop switch incorporated into the handle itself and the clutch, start switch and LED displays located on the tiller support bracket. The decompression release makes for easy manual starting.
Engine vibration is minimised by the use of thick anti-vibration mounts and other features include rev limiter to prevent over revving when the engine is started in neutral and a delayed advance function which keeps the engine running evenly when decelerating quickly.
Fuel consumption is approximately 50% of that used by an equivalent 2-stroke and engine emissions are extremely low. A choice of electric and manual start and remote control is offered. |
